LibreAquarium: Manage your aquarium with Free Software

Via email the developer of FreeAquarium, which as its name implies, is an application (Free software) for aquarium management.

According to its developer (who confesses to me that he is not an expert in programming), FreeAquarium has simulation (Simulation model) that allows predicting NO3, PO4 and Fe values, from the analytical history. In the same way, it determines the risk of algae and informs if the current water conditions are suitable for the inhabitants that we have in the aquarium.

Free Aquarium is developed with Lazarus, and therefore it is multiplatform, so we can find your installer for Windows, Linux and Mac. I invite you to download it and try it to know your opinion on it. At the moment a friend told me that they are missing Goldfish…😀

I'm testing it on Kubuntu 12.04 (32bits) and it works.

The Carassius auratus appears in the program's database, I don't know what @elav is referring to. The program looks good but I still don't understand how to use it.

Windousico, you have a manual on the project website. The central bases of species (fish, plants and invertebrates) are those that allow us to control the parameters of the species that we add to our aquarium. When we add a species, we are allowed to choose which aquarium and which species. The species that we add to our aquarium will come out from that central base, since if it is not in said base, there is no control of its chemical needs.

For right-handers there will be no installer sh

Ah I don't know, that's what my friend told me, I still haven't been able to download and test this application 😛

Thanks for the contribution, and I take the opportunity to test what icon I get.
I'm on LinuxMint 13 KDE but connected to the page through a virtual machine with W $ and the W $ icon appears… just curious.

Logical. The virtual machine never knows what operating system it is running on. For all intents and purposes you are running a browser from winbugs.

Species are missing but can be added… there should be a site to share species updates.

Thank you very much for the contribution, it is just what I was looking for, of course with a little computer knowledge it is the ideal application for anyone, at first a failure jumped due to an alert programmed in 2012 but to erase everything like silk, again Thanks a lot.
