Linux Deepin needs our help

Already once I told them about Linux Deepin, a distribution based on Ubuntu but that stood out for having a Software Center very pretty and a very nice appearance thanks to Gnome Shell.

The fact is that via LinuxBlogx6, I find out that the developers need help to launch the next version of this distribution with support for the Spanish language. The objective? Well, cover more users in the rest of the world and not only in China. You can get more information at this link.

I'll see if I can help out with that translation.

You're welcome. I have already sent them an email, to see what they tell me. Although I do not speak Chinese, I can translate English for you in a moment, although I do not know if there are specialized tools in these matters.

You don't need to know how to speak Chinese, English is enough, in fact I don't speak Chinese either 🙂

  2.   Sergio Esau Arámbula Duran said

Yes. Linux deepin wants to expand its horizons with a greater number of supported languages, in fact the developers want to start with the translation of the main page

  3.   Tina Toledo said

Well, I already sent my request to see how I can help. I don't know much about Spanish, but I think I can help with something if the translations are from English to Spanish.

Well, with that comment it seems that you know more Spanish than you think you know

Ciero, there are many distro based on Winbuntu

      1.    Sergio Esau Arámbula Duran said

yes, but none like Deepin or Mint with Cinnaon and some touch-ups

        1.    Sergio Esau Arámbula Duran said

Clarifying anything like Linux deepin with its Deepin shell or like Linux Mint with its Cinnamon and some tweaks, sorry my previous comment could have raised doubts 🙂

They are already doing it, for example check their really beautiful mind LDSC

I'm talking about programs, not another useless software center, music program, to make a radio program without using the idjc crap that jack uses, virtual dj-type programs, video editing programs that don't look like windows movie maker, programs for video recording that does not leave me lagged without using the terminal and things like that.

We must recognize that Deepin SC is an outstanding software center. To Caesar what is Caesar's.

You're right that there are too many derivatives without major differences (almost all devoid of original applications). But I guess you don't just criticize Ubuntu derivatives. Few distributions provide new programs (most only provide their own installers).

          1.    Sergio Esau Arámbula Duran said

You are very right about the Software Center since it is not useless, no and I say NO software center is as powerful, comfortable and customizable as this one, and I mean, Deepin Software Center has its own update manager integrated and also one can change the subject whoever likes it the most and as if that were not enough, it is very intuitive

        2.    assuarto said

Well, if the deepin developers don't need it ... why don't you do what you need instead of asking for it?

          1.    Courage said

Now, but maybe not everyone has the knowledge or time to do that.

So many distro based on Winbuntu already tiresome

Do you require translators for the different versions of Spanish? Spain, Latin America in general, or for the different regions: Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Chile, etc.

    1.    Courage said

There is only one Spanish because changing 4 words is not creating a variant

      1.    Sergio Esau Arámbula Duráan said

        I agree with Courage

      2.    assuarto said

yes, but you see that later on some Iberians get angry and say that Latin is not "Castilian"

        1.    Courage said

That is not true, because I am Spanish and I do not do that or I or anyone

        2.    Windousian said

          What Iberian?

incredible to see comments like those "that are dedicated to improving the programs", "the software center is useless" speak as if they were great bash experts ... we must recognize that ubuntu is a distro with many virtues for users who join In the world of Linux, and if you dislike it so much you shouldn't even know "the useless software center" I have been working on Linux for many years and in my opinion it is a very versatile distro mainly in its server versions. although I am afraid that talking about server in linux maybe more than someone will say "the useless bourne again shell"
