Remember that these results are from a survey of Linux Journal users. Nothing to do with reality.

Well then Linux Journal users are ignorant

        1.    Oscar said

I think it is not a matter of ignorance, we must not forget that the vast majority of Linux users start with Ubuntu, it is the most publicized distribution as the easiest to install and use, several tens of thousands of packages, plus the PPAs that come out of each new application, everything is installed with a double click, not all those users are curious or adventurous who make the decision to change OS, many feel satisfied and therefore are conformists, others make changes and decide to return because they really like Ubuntu , (There is nothing written about tastes), you must bear in mind that almost all of us, if not all of us come from the Unnameable and I am sure the migration cost us a lot. Imagine, just for a moment, what it would be out of this world if we all had the same tastes.
          This is my humble opinion.

I started with opensuse and crashed with yast, migrated to mint and from there I have lived many happy days ... yes, I know, "most of them" but you can try another system, what influences is the marketing of the ubuntu brand. What would the world be with the same tastes ... well, trolls wouldn't exist 😀 and it would be boring

What would be the world with the same tastes

Well man, if we talk about good taste, the distros used would be the good ones, the systems too, reggaeton wouldn't exist, Justin Bieber wouldn't have eaten a tail, all generations of aunts would be good, etc.

            A lot of things

Best Gwibber microblogging client !! if even projects in development like Hotot or Polly are a hundred times better. It is noted that the respondents to that survey are Ubuntu users, but Gwibber. The time I used Ubuntu the first thing I did was uninstall it.

    Best Ubuntu Distro?
    Wow, but hey.

I vote for Arch and OpenSuse.

    I am missing Blender.

And Dell OMG. When will Toshiba be on our side ??? When?

Suddenly it is because the first place was snatched from the unnameable at the end of the year, suddenly the next year if it is first 😉

They are only survey results, it is like the article about the servers where debian is placed first, but it is clearly seen in the graph that it is below centos.
