It is now available to download the RC2 de Linux Mint 11 LXDE, after several weeks of the launch of the RC1.

Linux Mint 11 LXDE

Among the most relevant changes, we have to GDM replaces LXDM due to problems that the latter had presented. I don't understand why the team of Mint does not use SLiM. When using GDM dependencies are being included Gnome and I think, that this can load the system a bit more.

Sorry for ignorance; I have linuxmint 11 installed and now I have downloaded this release candidate; but actually I don't know what to do with the iso that I download.

Is it to see how linuxmint 12 will be? or something like that ?

Is it installed or burned and reviewed from the live?

    Greetings.
