Mageia 2 Alpha1 available

In the first weeks of this site, we once discussed and detailed the changes that Mageia 2 could bring us, its development schedule and more: Mageia 2 (Calendar, support and details)

Well, the changes have already gone from being simple ideas to something much more palpable 😀

El Alpha1 by Mageia2 is now available for download, you can find them on the official mirrors: http://mirrors.mageia.org/

But… What's new on these CDs / DVDs right now?

  • Kernel 3.1.2
  • systemd it is being incorporated little by little, yet you will not be able to enjoy all its functions.
  • KDE 4.7.3
  • Gnome 3.3.2
  • The new artwork cannot be enjoyed yet.
  • New games.

Good news for the community of Mageia, and those who ever liked (or still like) Mandriva.

 regards

HAHA I thought you couldn't see Mageia even in paint.

I have not tried it again since the alpha one of the first version and I liked it, there are no companies or copies to Mac involved as in Mandriva

        What is the default browser?

I don't know if it is Internet € xplotter because it has the same symbol, or at least very similar, better ask KZKGGaara who knows more about Android than I do

The plugin that shows the distro and browser in the comments, is NOT made by us, far from it. I don't know why, but apparently when Safari includes the UserAgent it just assumes it's MacOS X ... no idea why ...

And ... what does it have to do with elav's question?

    2.    elav <° Linux said

Nobody here has anything against any distro, well except KZKGGaara who since using Arch denies the distribution that he loved and defended so much a few months ago 😀

Haha well it could leave you bad with a certain flame that you took for your blog and I for mine, or some comments from mine when the 20Gb of porn and all that hahahahahaha.

Well, it went to Mandriva but it's almost the same, or it was, rather because the last Mandriva is to kill them

I repeat ... I do NOT like the current way of Ubuntu.
I defend Ubuntu until 9.04 and maybe ... just maybe, it can include 9.10, but from then on too many changes, increased instability, etc etc.
The current Ubuntu is not the distro that at some point defended tooth and nail.

Is it just because Ubuntu seemed great to me some time ago, and now the opposite ... I have to keep defending this distro forever?

          It happens exactly the same
