MilagrOS 3.1: Work is already underway on the second version of the year

As many already know, MX Linux apart from being a good and innovative GNU/Linux Distro, It includes cool own tools, carefully improved and updated. That and much more, has earned him to be constantly in the DistroWatch Top 10 of 2018. In my case, I met her precisely that year, which led me to stop using Ubuntu (18.04), with which he generated a respin called Miners Through the application Systemback.

While, now and since 2018, through MX Linux and his tool MX Snapshot I lead the development of Miracles GNU / Linux. And since, soon I will release a remake under the name and number «Miracles 3.1», today I will share a little of his current development and its novelties to include.

What new features will MilagrOS 3.1 – MX-NG-22.10 include?

Among the latests Moravia's compositions featured news which, I am currently testing on “Miracles 3.1”, for the use and enjoyment of the Linuxera Community currently using it, can I mention the 5 main novelties following:

  1. A slightly larger ISO size: From the previous version (3.0) whose ISO size was 3.0 GB, now the new version will come in 3.6 GB ISO size. Which means that, while the previous one occupied 9 GB on the hard drive, the future one will occupy 11 GB.
  2. New Desktop Environment and Window Manager included: While the previous version only included XFCE and FluxBox already installed and functional, the new one will additionally include LXDE + OpenBox, and OpenBox only.
  3. New graphical look for XFCE: Since XFCE is your default Desktop Environment, it will come with 2 panels again, but with a new rearrangement of all its widgets. In the old one, there was a top panel with a global menu and system information boxes. In the new one, it no longer exists, but it incorporates a side panel on the right with only launchers to essential applications, application menu and an action button (shutdown, restart, hibernate, log out and more). Whereas, the bottom panel will feature a centered windows (open) button, a clock (time/date) on the right, and a notification, pulseaudio (volume) and status tray plugin on the left.
  4. Fusion with Twister UI: Which is an advanced visual theme native to Distro Twister OS, which allows us to offer a different and interesting Linux graphical appearance, which simulates the GUI of other proprietary Operating Systems, such as Windows and macOS. Therefore, we can automatically or custom use new graphic themes, icon packs and wallpapers.
  5. Inclusion of GNOME Software with support for Flatpak: For a better user experience, when it comes to easily installing any application.

My goodness, what a nonsense, I don't install a 3.5 gigabyte distro, nor 3 either, not even kidding, that's the total antilinux, that's how I also make a distro, I guess everything and I'm proud that it has 3.5 gb and on top of that it says it's for medium-sized or even low-resource computers, hahaha that's really good, to move a 3.5-gig distro and cal that is medium to quite up-to-date, if you're not clear, these Linux users make me laugh of plasticine with its anti-Linux respins.

All points of view are important and relevant for those of us who contribute something to others. For the rest, equally to you, success, luck and blessings in all your contributions to Free Software, Open Source and GNU/Linux, whether they are applications, systems, Distros, Respines, or Documentation.

Well, get used to the idea because every time the ISOS, not only MilagrOS weigh more and more, it is what there is, that's why only Bootable USBs are recommended, no CDs or DVDs.

I wonder if it is legal to put the design of Windows XP, Windows Vista in a Linux system, what will Bill Gates think, and all the original designers who dedicated themselves to creating those drawings, seeing this distribution of MilagrOS… I turn on the PC and say, oops I'm going to compress my precious NTFS hard drive, oh yeah I'm on Linux… Oh I'm going to create a symlink, ooh no I'm on Windows.

I usually have a 3-row task bar, so that the day of the week, the date and the time with seconds can be seen better, both in Linux and in Windows... Showing the seconds is vital, since it tells me if hung up the computer.

Regards, ArtEze. Thanks for your comment. Regarding the former, I couldn't tell you if the creators of Twister OS are in any way breaking the law, since as far as I know they don't include anything original from Windows or macOS, they just make graphical approximations of them. Just like Kali does, with its Kali Undercover Mode program, which disguises Kali Linux as Windows. Regarding the second, I have already included your recommendation of the seconds in the time display, and I enlarged the size of the date/time for its better visualization. Any other recommendation and suggestion is welcome, to improve said Community Respin.
