MilagrOS GNU / Linux 1.0 is another unofficial Distro derived from the GNU / Linux MX-Linux 17.1 Distro Project and is based on DEBIAN 9 (Stretch). MX-Linux 17.1 is built with technology and experience from the existing communities of the “antiX” Distros and the former “MEPIS”. And it was also built low by the team from the Venezuelan Blog of the Tic Tac Project.

It should be noted that the Distro MX-Linux 17.1 has among its best features the use of "SysV" instead of "Systemd", the maintenance of support at the Kernel level for computers with old CPUs (32 Bit), and also for computers with modern CPUs (64 Bit).

ORIGIN

MilagrOS GNU / Linux is a Distro similar to MinerOS GNU / Linux, which, as we already know, from another previous article on the BlogIt is based on the version of UBUNTU 18.04 for 64bits, but carrying out the implementation of the MX-Linux 17.1 repositories and programs together with the Systemback application to function as the installation system.

And that MinerOS GNU / Linux has 2 existing versions: version 1.0 (ISO - 4.7 GB) to be recorded preferably on a normal DVD and installed on updated equipment with low resources and non-expert users and 1.1 (ISO - 7.4 GB) to be recorded in USB storage devices and installed on modern equipment with great technological capacity and expert users in GNU / Linux Systems.

Therefore, MilagrOS GNU / Linux 1.0 is also a GNU / Linux Distro, but totally based on MX-Linux 17.1, and whose version 1.0 is totally stable and operational., the ISO being available in its download sites, free to download, use, distribute, study and modify.

And it has versions with NON-PAE and PAE cores, using the lightweight and customizable XFCE desktop environment by default, and has a practical and efficient general package plus a collection of its own applications for the optimization, customization and portability of the Distro itself.

Good afternoon. I am downloading MílagrOs Linux, in order to test it, after an expensive process of downloading and installing a Mega application that allows me to download since my browser is not Chromium. If the goal is to make the distro popular and known to the largest number of users, I think downloading from Mega is not the best option. I suggest that you try to download it directly from the authors' site or from a page that is not as problematic as Mega that, I am sure, will make any beginner who wants to migrate from another operating system to MIlagrOs give up. Thank you.

I can put it on Google Drive, but you can try it without downloading and installing it on this site: https://distrotest.net/MilagrOS

I already downloaded it and I'm using it, it seems magnificent, but in addition to the problem of downloading it from Mega, I find it somewhat uncomfortable not being able to change the Admin or Root password and having to manage two passwords, when the other distros you allow you to define a single password from the start. I insist on my position that they should place it in another site from which the download is more fluid than from Mega and allow changing the password from the beginning, otherwise, it seems very stable, fast, with a good library of programs, applications and games and the great advantage that it has is that when you choose the language, all the applications assume it and you don't have to load more language options. Another thing to correct are the translations, at least some incorrect words appear in the Spanish installation guides. Thank you.

Once installed following the "recommendation" (no obligation) to keep the recommended passwords, you can change them if you wish with the command "passwd root" and "passwd sysadmin". The translation thing is a problem with the MX-Linux base that currently goes from 17.1 to 18. If I make version 1.1 of MilagrOS over version 18, I hope they have solved that "little problem" so that it doesn't continue . And thank you also for the positive comments on the benefits of it! I hope you like the low CPU and RAM consumption of it as much as its functional conky if you activate it!
