What is Money Manager Ex?
According to the creators of «Money Manager Ex» at their Official website, this app is:
"A free, open source, cross-platform and easy-to-use personal finance software. Mainly, it helps organize one's finances and keeps track of where, when and how the money is going. It's also a great tool for getting a bird's eye view of your financial worth. Plus, it includes all the basic features that 90% of users would want to see in a personal finance app. The design goals are focused on simplicity and ease of use - something that can be used every day."

How to install and run Money Manager EX on GNU / Linux?
For installation on GNU / Linux, there are several ways. For our case, we have downloaded the latest installer file available at .deb format, which can be obtained in your version 1.5.3 both in GitHub as in SourceForge.
After downloaded we install it in the usual way with the command command:
«sudo apt install ./Descargas/mmex_1.5.3-1.bionic_amd64.deb»
And we execute it via Applications Menu or Terminal in order to start exploring and using it, as seen in the following screenshot:
One of the good things about «Money Manager Ex» is that it has an excellent Online User Manual, in Spanish, which is also available within the already installed application.
In summary, «Money Manager Ex» it is not only one excellent free and open alternative to replace proprietary programs based on Windows o MacOS.
