Hello everyone .. I again with more changes for our theme. Not long ago I showed them the new way of seeing the code that is put in our articles, and now I bring you another function: Ratings.
Now we can make Reviews of any Distribution or Application and give it an assessment, which of course, is based on the author's criteria. We can already see it in the recent ElementaryOS Review.
And not only that, we can also put the data of the team (or teams) from which we made the Review.
At the moment to insert this type of data we will have to do manual work, but "something is something" as we would say here and I hope to improve this function.
In an update of The Editors Guide, I will add how to use Ratings 😉
The other major change I made was under the hood, so I need your feedback. Presumably, since users who had problems with 1280 resolutions, they should be able to see the site design correctly.
Any problem that you present please let me know by giving me the information that I specify below:
- OS.
- Browser (and its version).
- Screen resolution.
That's it!
I do not know if I am the only one who has seen it but in the PDF Document I do not see how to do what you say in the article dear friend
That's because I haven't updated it. 😛
Good.
I'm an Opera user and your new website is going bad with this browser.
When you place the cursor over any of the articles, the title of the article appears blinking like crazy, it is practically impossible to see what it says.
Can you fix it?
Greetings Luis:
KZKG ^ Gaara has the same problem. Unfortunately for now it is not possible. I explain.
The simple explanation is that the old Opera engine (Presto) is useless (without wanting to offend anyone). It's old, it has very poor support for HTML5 and even for old versions of the standard. Not for pleasure did these people go to Webkit.
The problem you have is because the black box that has the post title in the background is drawn using the CSS opacity property, and Opera gets sick with this property. He can't see her, he hates her.
The solution that we could give you right now (it seems to me) is that instead of opacity, use a background image as a background. It was something that I had pending and I had forgotten, to see how I make my own CSS for Opera.
Anyway thanks for the feedback, I will try to solve it as soon as possible.
If they release the Presto engine, it would be even superior to the Webkit and Blink combined.
I do not think so. It would be very good but not superior.
The same problem here. Thanks for listening and responding to the height 🙂
Now finally in Chrome, everything looks centered and perfectly aligned. and not shifted to the right. Nice job!
Thanks ^^
Hola!
I still can't see the main page aligned correctly.
On Windows 7 Professional: Chrome 28.0.15, 1280 × 1024 resolution
In RHEL 6: Firefox 22, resolution 1280 × 1024 I see correctly the blog.
Greetings, excellent blog!
In fact I can't see the whole blog correctly in Windows 7
I just tried from Windows 7 with Opera 15, Firefox 18 and of course, Internet Explorer 9 which was the only one that did not load the entire site.
Oh by the way, it would be nice if you cleared the cache 😉
Hey.
I really like how the blog is coming out, but from my point of view the scores to evaluate a distribution should go over ten, not over five, since out of ten is more flexible when evaluating. It is my opinion.
A greeting.
That can vary. I did it out of 5 taking a 3 point criterion as half. 😉
That is listening to the community! Thanks It is already displayed perfectly!
Greetings from Mexico!
It would be good to put an assessment on the article hehehe so each user (if they want to be registered) can assess it and a final table as feedback for the author es it is only an idea
I've never liked that. Anyone who publishes "something" does so with the best of intentions, wanting to collaborate. It is very ugly that then you enter your own article and see a negative rating. I don't know, that's how I see it.
Compa these evaluations are a candy: 3 really unique!
Congratulations I see everything 100% in Firefox xD.
Make more reviews of more distros in addition to software and other things with this style, I loved it 🙂
Greetings.
I have in mind to do many more Reviews, don't worry 😉
Thanks for the comment
Excellent. For later I will see well the new design of the blog that they made. For now, I do not appreciate it well in the Opera Mini.
The improvement is great. I had to get rid of the old cache for the change to take effect in Chromium and Google Chrome.
Oh no, believe me the 1280 × 800 resolution issue is anything but fixed xD http://imagebin.org/267437 (Google Nexus 7 2012, Android 4.2.2, Chrome for Android).
Regarding the new options on Reviews, I think the only detail is that which can be seen there: http://imagebin.org/267438 (Arch Xfce, Chromium in its latest version).
Oh, I missed it. The resolution of my monitor is 1440 × 900. And well, the tablet is 1280 × 800.
Sorry for so many comments, but now I did a Shift + F5 and it looks perfect. Excuse me ://(
I use Windows 7, Chrome 28.
Taking as reference the eOS review that uses the new functions:
- The "Equipment data" square appears aligned to the left and the title of the same appears in a Blue color that with the background of the square makes it impossible to read.
- The score table does not appear to me as in the image you show, but the different tables (each criterion / score) appear side by side ...
PS, I just saw that it no longer appears like this. Maybe they were things from the cache ... 🙂
With firfox there are no problems the best browser without a doubt of free software ...
Excellent .. ..love the new Equipment Ratings and Specifications features .. ..thanks for the improvement 😉 ..
It looks perfect on Windows 8, Chrome 28.0.1500.95 and 1366x768 screen.
Thank you very much.
In the part where you put the ratings, I think the blue background would look better a little lighter. It's my opinion 😉
They have made the page fast even in SeaMonkey (well, IceApe).
Elav upgrades look great. Definitely growing by leaps and bounds.
Thanks Pavloco. 😉
I have been noticing that the avatars in the comments do not appear exactly above the "titles" (editor, author, reader, etc) ... they appear rather aligned to the left.
I don't know if this is useful, but since they ask for it ...:
-Snowlinux Glacier.
-Iceweasel 23.
-1280 × 800 wide screen (how much I hate them).
Good,
I have opensuse 12.3, firefox 23.0 and a resolution of 1440 * 900 (19 "monitor) and I notice that the letters sometimes enlarge by themselves and the black menu at the top takes two lines instead of one when the screen is displayed correctly page.
Greetings.
Good day community
elav hand I have already done everything and I do not even see the buttons on the console if I get the black background, I do not see the evaluations anywhere, and the data of the test equipment although the truth while you see the site and its content because I don't care so congratulations on the community and just in case:
OS: Debian 6 Squeeze 🙁 I couldn't get the 7 niff repos
Nav: Firefox 23.0.1
Res: 1368 x 768
regards
Try to clear the browser cache. 😉
