MX-19.3: November 2021 update
According to its developers, MX-19.3 is
"The third update of MX-19, which consists of bug fixes and application updates since our original version of MX-19. If you are already running MX-19, there is no need to reinstall it. All packages are available through the regular update channel".
What does MX-19.3 bring us new?
- For standard versions of MX-19.3 (32-bit and 64-bit) the latest kernel from Debian GNU / Linux, that is, the Kernel 4.19. With the difference, that now the kernel will be updated automatically along with the Debian sources, by default. Whereas, for the branch of the ISO AHS (Advanced Hardware Support) and the ISO under KDE Plasma, a Kernel 5.8, table 20, and a new updated firmware package.
- For all versions and ISOs it includes the latest available updates from Debian GNU / Linux 10.6 (Buster) and MX's own Repositories.
- The main applications will come in the following versions:
- XFCE: 4.14
- plasma: 5.15
- GIMP: 2.10.12
- TABLE: 18.3.6 and 20.1.8 for ISO AHS.
- Debian kernel: 4.19 and 5.8 for ISO AHS.
- Firefox browser: 82
- VLC Video Player: 3.0.11
- Clementine Sound Player: 1.3.1
- Thunderbird client email: 68.12.0
- Office suite: LibreOffice 6.1.5 plus security fixes.
