I show you an icon theme for Pidgin inspired by Adium (its counterpart on OS X), which at least I like them a lot because they are very nice. They can be installed both for the emoticons and for our connection status as you can see in the image.
Installing the status icons.
We open a terminal and put the following:
$ wget http://gnome-look.org/CONTENT/content-files/115693-Ducks.tar.gz
$ tar -xzvf
115693-Ducks.tar.gz
$ sudo cp -R Ducks/purple/status-icon/* /usr/share/pixmaps/pidgin/status/
Installation of the emoticons:
We download the file:
$ wget http://gnome-look.org/CONTENT/content-files/104600-Adium.tar.gz
Then we open Pidgin »Tools» Preferences »Themes and drag the downloaded file over Emoticon themes. Then we select them, we restart Pidgin and ready.
Even though the theme goes in $ HOME / user / .purple / themes
**** thanks the theme looks nice 😀
Yes, it is true that they can also be put there ... In fact, the author of the icon theme suggests it.
Ahm ... and someone who doesn't have them installed, when I send him one ... Will he be able to see it? If not it has no grace hahaha
Nope. Those icons are supposed to be for you.
I installed them and they did not work for me…. 🙁
How is it possible? What version of Pidgin are you using? Although the truth is that this has nothing to do with it .. 🙁
2.10.2… when I get home I will try again. 😉
Thats weird. Ok, then you can tell us
Voucher. The truth is I would like to have that pack installed.
Certainly elavyou recommended TooBars somewhere else so I take the trip: http://elavdeveloper.wordpress.com/2010/12/21/toobars-util-plugins-para-pidgin/
Well yes, I have to use it again ^^
Let's see if we leave the patería. 😉
