Nitrux 3.5 “cx” arrives with support for XBOX controllers, updates and more

Additionally, the use of tags to detect buffer overflows is enabled, virtual system calls are disabled, and offsets to entry points in system calls are randomized.

  • NVIDIA's proprietary drivers have been updated to version 555.42.02, and the Vulkan driver for AMD GPUs, AMDVLK 2024.Q2.1, has been enabled. Microcode has been updated for AMD and Intel processors, and new firmware has been added for many drivers for wireless adapters, GPUs, and sound cards.
  • The OpenRC startup system has introduced a new "asynchronous" runlevel designed to speed up loading by delaying the parallel launch of secondary services.
  • A script has been added to OpenRC to use the Nohang driver, forcing applications to terminate when the system is low on memory.
