I have been using Odoo for a year and it is incredible, the free version is downloaded with an installer from its website, the trial version is the entreprise and they have a different interface, both via the web.
I have installed it as a point of sale in Pharmacy, Confectionery and Fast Food Restaurant, in the latter it controls inventory of supplies, recipe book, manufacturing and / or production, order and receipt of merchandise.
The best of all is cross-platform, more than everything I have installed in ubuntu, xubuntu and fedora obviously in windows.
Compatibility with many devices, the popular cash drawer opening with pos printer, is a very complete software, the interface of the POS is very modern and friendly, accounting plan according to the country.
