OpenExpo Virtual Experience 2021, one of the most famous Free Software events returns

OpenExpo Virtual Experience 2021 header

One of the most famous and important events of the Spanish Free Software scene in Spain is going to take place over the next few days, I am referring to the OpenExpo, which for security reasons became a virtual event by calling itself Openexpo Virtual Experience 2021.

This year the virtual format that was imposed last year is repeated, but, in addition, DesdeLinux becomes part of one of the media partners of the event.

This year's edition will feature an exceptional godfather, the great Chema Alonso, a world benchmark in terms of computer security and one of the most popular Spanish-speaking technology figures within the technology landscape. But this is not all. In addition to having Chema Alonso, the OpenExpo will be filled with new themes and representatives and companies that not only make up the technological panorama of Spain and part of Latin America but they have had special popularity in recent months, in many cases without wanting them and in many others the popularity has been worldwide.

Unfortunately OpenExpo is not yet a technological benchmark worldwide and that means that large companies such as Google or Amazon are not interested in the event but we have to say that we will have the presence of members of Dell Technologies, Oracle, Intel or OVHcloud among others already that the list is very large and covers many technological topics.

The topics that the OpenExpo Virtual Experience 2021 will deal with will be Blockchain, Big Data, Cloud, Cybersecurity, open-source software, in addition to combining it with other topics such as digitization, IT training and employment, Fintech, accessibility, among other topics.

How will these topics be covered at the OpenExpo Virtual Experience 2021?

As in previous editions, we must remember that we are facing the 8th edition of the OpenExpo, there will be talks, meetings, conferences, exhibitions, workshops, meetups, forums, round tables, etc ... And through these means, users will be able to participate in this event and with this year's speakers.

Attendance and participation will be totally virtual and 100% in Spanish, so Spanish-speaking users are in luck since we will not depend on the geographical problem to participate in OpenExpo Virtual Experience 2021. The events will take place from June 8 to June 11, both inclusive. We can get the list of the speakers and their participation through the official website of the event.

The organization has informed us that in this new edition there will be quite a few news, but at the moment we only know two. One of them will be the OpenTrivial, a trivia by teams, each team will be made up of 4 professionals who will answer questions about the world of technology and Open Source.

The second of them will be "The Voice of the Audience", an activity of which we only know his name and that to know more about it we have to participate in the event (as the organization informs us)

Participation in the OpenExpo Virtual Experience 2021 can be done through registration through the official links of the event:

Or we can do it through the official website of the event.

The Open Source community is very large and powerful due to its openness and his collaborating facet, facet that makes the OpenExpo Virtual Experience a more than interesting event Do not you think?
