OpenShot was eventually included in the official Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) repositories. If you have the alpha version of Lucid, you can already access this wonderful piece of software from the Software Center. You just have to search for "openshot". |
What is Openshot?
OpenShot is a non-linear video editor totally free programmed in Python, GTK + and the MLT framework (Media Lovin 'Toolkit). It is licensed under the GPLv3 and offers extensive editing and compositing features, including tools for working on high definition video such HDV (720p, 24 FPS) and AVCHD. Other features include multitrack support, real-time transitions, audio mixing and editing, more than 20 special effects, and a lot more.
