OPMon: A Pokemon-Inspired Adventure Game for Linux

Games are always a good option to spend our hours of boredom, this time we want to publicize an open source game, with a fairly active community, which is managing to create a Pokemon-inspired adventure game for Linux, OPMon As it has been baptized, it is the result of several months of work by a group of French people, the game is still in development but it needs us all to try it, report bugs and start enjoying it.

What is OPMon?

OPMon is an adventure game for Linux inspired by Pokémon, open source, which has been projected since 2012 and which began to be developed in 2016, currently there is a fully functional version of the game that allows Pokémon fans to be able to enjoy an adventure like no other.

OPMon has a pleasant game interface, with a script that seeks to bring its users closer to the plot that is lived in the original story, all this is coming true thanks to its original creators and the community that is providing improvements, correcting bug and adding more realism to the overall game.

OPMon perhaps lacks quite striking graphics, or an enviable gameplay, but it is focused on offering a theme that will appeal to many Pokémon fans and all its themes. The game is developed using the c ++ programming language and is intended to be a true clone of the Pokémon game distributed by Nintendo.

How to play OPMon?

We can enjoy OPMon in the most popular operating systems including Linux, to download the version compatible with your operating system we can go to the download area from here.. Linux users can download a simple version of the game from this link, just unzip the .zip in our preferred directory and run the file OpMon-Debug.

The game panel will open immediately, we must choose the parameters of our preferences, for example change the Spanish language, finally we can start playing from the option nuevo juego where you will begin to enjoy an adventure based on Pokémon.
