Pardus could go broke

On the Pardus developers mailing list one of the developers, Semen Cirit, has released this news about the distro.

According to Cirit, Pardus 2011 has been discontinued, so there will be no updates for Pardus 2011, 2011.1 and 2011.2.

There is still no official announcement about this, everything is months of rumors, which is why the different communities of Pardus complain.

There are even rumors that the 2011 version will become Corporate and the end-user version will be lost.

All of this has apparently been produced by decisions of the Turkish government or by the branch of government in charge of TUBITAK, the technological development institute where Pardus was managed.

Apparently, there have been developers who have complained of working in poor conditions, for example, Bahadır Kandemir complaint as we can read a letter addressed to Pardus.

Communities are currently seeking support from developers to create a fork of Pardus.
