Importing videos in Peerturbe
The release of the new version of the decentralized platform for organizing video hosting and streaming, PeerTube 4.3 , has just been announced. The placement of the top elements on the login page has also been changed to make informational messages more visible. The search bar has been moved to the top center of the screen. The font size has been increased and the color corrected.
In addition, options for embedding videos on other sites have been expanded. For live streams embedded in the on-page player, explanatory splash screens are now displayed before and after the stream ends, instead of blank screens. Automatic playback is also now implemented after a scheduled live stream begins.
New options have been added to customize your PeerTube node. The administrator now has the means to work in batch mode on federated nodes (Federation), for example, to remove certain subscribers from all controlled nodes at once. Options have been added to disable transcoding for changing the resolution of downloaded videos or live streams, including the ability to disable transcoding for videos with a resolution higher than the maximum allowed in the settings. The ability to selectively delete video files has been added to the web interface, which can be useful for freeing up space (for example, you can delete videos with a resolution higher than the specified one all at once).
