"Plugin Registry", plugin pack for GIMP 2.8

Plugin Registry is a collection of GIMP plugins that includes, but is not limited to, FX-Foundry, Liquid-Rescale, Safe for Web, and Elsamuko + scripts. With this, we will have hundreds of effects to major for one of the banners of design with Free Software. A few months ago, Pablo told us how install it under Ubuntu. This article does not differ from that explanation, but I have done it "graphically", for those who are very new or who are afraid of the terminal. If you see the end of the post, you will see that this (terminal) form is faster.

Still, the process is very simple:

1.- We launch the Software Center and go to 'Edit> Software Origins'. "Software Origins", also accessible through the "Dash" or Ubuntu start menu, is the reference to the repositories or sources where the system obtains the software to install.

2.- Here we will click the tab 'Other Software' and 'Add'

3.- We will paste the address of the following PPA repository: "ppa: otto-kesselgulasch / gimp". This will cause our Software Center to access the programs hosted there.

4.- Ubuntu will ask us for our "root" or "administrator" password. A fundamental step since we are doing something that is likely to alter the system.

5.- Now, if we search for "gimp plugin", we can select the pack from the list.

6.- In «More information» we will access a complete list of all included plugins, among which is the very useful «Batch Converter». We click "Install" and, shortly, we will have GIMP 2.8 loaded with very good plugins.

If this process fails, the terminal should not do it:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa: otto-kesselgulasch / gimp sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gimp-plugin-registry

And in Arch, how is the installation process?

The package is .deb, for Arch there are all the plugins separately in AUR.
