Polly is a client of Twitter for Linux. Is easy to use, fast and has several characteristics interesting, such as the ability to manage multiple accounts, go up images o videos from its interface. Also, if you are a user of UbuntuYou will see that Polly integrates with her messaging menu. |
It is also multicolumn, which is very useful. Thanks to this, we can see at a glance what we are most interested in reading from our account.
Installation on Ubuntu
sudo apt-add-repository ppa: conscioususer / polly-daily
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install polly
Installation on Arch Linux
yaourt -S polly
There is no doubt that despite being a fairly recent application, Polly has become a great alternative to the different Twitter clients that exist on the GNU / Linux desktop.

it won't let me install, the terminal tells me the following:
can't find signing_key_fingerprint at https://launchpad.net/api/1.0/~conscioususer/+archive/polly-daily
what do I do?
Thats weird..
It is better to use the unstable ppa which is updated more often than the daily ppa: conscioususer / polly-unstable
It should work. That PPA has packages for Oneiric and Natty (the latest Ubuntu versions).
If you are using another version of Ubuntu it will not work.
Cheers! Paul.
Indeed, neither the stable repo nor the unstable that Jorge put in works. I stay with Turpial 😛
Friend I like that when new twitts arrive to my TL the scroll does not run all the way to the top, but rather that it saves my position to continue reading from where I left off. This is possible to achieve with Turpial?
If it doesn't work, install python-keyring
I will try it because what is choqok I have never managed to connect to twitter: -S, I do not know what corrupt data roll
