PyRenamer: Mass file renamer

I know someone who calls himself KZKG ^ Gaara you like to put all the files on your computer, something like this: file– = KZKG ^ Gaara_Collection = -. jpg. I don't know if it's due to an identity complex or some trauma 😀

Anyway, jokes aside Can you imagine having to put the tagline - = KZKG ^ Gaara_Collection = - to hundreds of photos manually? It would be super tedious. That is why we can make use of tools like the one I show you today: pyrenamer.

As the name implies, pyrenamer is an application written in Python which helps us to massively rename any number of files at the same time. Your options are multiple, so I could not explain them all, and therefore I recommend that you install it and try it yourself.

$ sudo aptitude install pyrenamer

I think it's so they don't see those "secret files" that I know he has hahaha. And come on, you gossip on the computer ... have you adopted him as a son? LOL

Well, the program seems comfortable, and also light

Hahaha I don't have to gossip about anything. Throughout the Cuban network where there is a file that belongs to Alejandro, it has the - = KZKG ^ Gaara_Collection = - ...

And yes, light but powerful !!!

I don't need this, a simple [F2] in my KDE is enough and plenty 😉

It's not the first time I've seen this application, but I still wonder what I could use it for: D, that is, I know what it is used for, but for me it is practically useless.

Ask KZKG ^ Gaara what uses it can be put to haha.

Luckily I'm the only one who uses this computer because otherwise I would see myself putting little names so that they wouldn't see something I have lying around.

Otherwise for me it is not useful either

The name is not strange at all, it is simply like a mark that this file is his.

        1.    Courage said

Fuck, as a little name I mean whatever name it is, not that one in particular

Error ... how many times will I have to explain it to you ¬_¬
In MCAnime.net several years ago, I uploaded a lot of things, and one of the standards that is used when someone uploads X files, is to put a reference on who uploaded it, in case of complaint, questions, ideas, suggestions or what In other words, you know who to contact.

It is a custom that I still have.

Mr. Alejandro, you have to put new series on this man

ok, I find it interesting, but I use one that copies and replaces names, example when copying the photos from my camera to the computer that are passed from dcss001 to party chida001, there is one that does that, since when using a program to import photos I separate them by dates. there are if they know there are they tell me please ...

    1.    elav <° Linux said

PyRenamer does that and much more. Now, if what you want is an automated process, that nothing more than copying from the camera to the PC, change the names of the files, I think you will have to use the console a lot 😀

      Hello and welcome.
Look install thunarThis is a file manager like Nautilus, but when you install it, it will install an application to rename files, it's great ... you can do wonders with it, do what you say and much, much more.

This is obviously if you use Gnome, but if you use KDE install KRename, just as cool 😉
Greetings and welcome to our site 😀
