Qupzilla it is a very small browser (1.9Mb on .deb) written in Qt, that you use as a motor web kit and it is very fast, which I discovered reading the blog of GSpades.
Users KDE They will be delighted with its use, because it did not fool me, Qupzilla is based on some version (a little old perhaps) de Firefox with some additions, but written in Qt. Its interface, options and behavior whisper it to me all the time.
But let's what interests us. Qupzilla It contains many configuration options, some very interesting, such as changing the appearance. We can alternate between Chrome, Mac, Windows, a theme of the browser or system native theme.
Qupzilla comes by default with AdBlock, Cookies manager, has private browsing, basic download manager, password manager, proxy support and includes your own RSS reader:
Also includes your own Fast dial which is very easy to configure, and among the browser options, we can choose to have a transparent background.
Performance
As I was saying to me, it does not deceive me. The same as Firefox, its consumption is around 113 Mb and there are moments when it gives me the feeling that it is stuck, although it has not happened to me. Also maybe I use gtk and in an environment Qt as KDE your performance is more profitable.
Download
is available for Windows (.exe), for Linux (.deb and in Yaourt's Arch repos) for both 32 and 64 bits and has its own PPA for Ubuntu.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nowrep/qupzilla
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install qupzill
Also if we want we can also download it from GitHub. It only remains for them to try it and see how it goes with it.
mmmm interesting> downloading 8)
The ugly thing is that it is still unstable.
All qt browsers are unstable if you visit websites with flash, this is because of a bug that exists in qwebkit and that has not yet been solved 🙁
The day I use KDE again, it will be the main candidate if I remember, because it looks very good
