Sage: An AI web platform for using chatbots on Linux
Given that currently, one of the most relevant IT trends is the use of online artificial intelligence services, in the form of chatbots, mainly to carry out many personal, professional or business tasks, here at DesdeLinuxLittle by little we have been reporting on some of them. Above all, those that are based on free or open technologies, or at least that are free and easy to use.
For this reason, we have gone through OpenAI's ChatGPT and some desktop clients for it, Bard from Google, LLaMa from Facebook, Bing Chat from Microsoft, and others such as Merlin, Translaite, and ChacarterAI. Whereas, today we will be addressing Poe's web platform, with its AI chatbot service called «Legend», which is, for now, easy, free and free to register. What is Poe.com?
poe.com is the website of a company that provides a wide range of artificial intelligence solutions for all types of users (individuals, groups, communities and companies). Therefore, it offers tools and applications that help anyone improve their productivity, efficiency and quality of their work or service provided to third parties. And among the solutions available at Poe.com, is Sage.
What is Sage?
Sage is an artificial intelligence web service that enables anyone to quickly and easily create, deploy, and manage chatbots. And to that end, it's designed to be easy to use, even for those without technical knowledge of programming or AI.
Its main purpose is to allow its users to take full advantage of the potential of chatbots, without the need to invest time and resources in developing solutions from scratch. Therefore, it provides a wide range of tools and features that allow users to create custom chatbots to meet the specific needs they require for themselves or others.
Types of chatbots offered by Sage
Currently, Sage for free and with certain limitations, offers a variety of chatbots for different purposes. And these are the following:
- claude-instant: Ideal for creative writing tasks, since it tends to give longer and more in-depth answers. Compared to the normal Claude, it is faster and better in languages other than English.
- claude+: It is significantly better than Claude-instant in complex and difficult tasks. And also, he's particularly strong at creative writing and provides detailed answers.
- Legend y Chat GPT: They are recommended chatbots to handle tasks in languages other than English and ideal for tasks related to programming.
- Dragonfly: Great for getting shorter, more precise answers on a wide range of topics or domains, and great for handling instructions when given examples in the input.
- GPT-4: You are particularly strong at creative writing, problem solving (for example, math and physics), and following directions.
How to use it on GNU/Linux?
Although it is an online service, which offers the use of chatbots for free and with limitationsyes, in my particular case, for now I am using it in 2 different ways, as a WebApp, on my current Respin MX called Miracles.
The first is like a WebApp created with WebApp Manager, as shown in the image immediately above, and as a WebApp created with Nativefier, as shown in the image immediately below.
Best of all, is that for registration and free use with limitations, all you need is to use a mobile number and an email account where to receive a validation code to verify us. In this way, you can use it at any time and on any computer or mobile. Although, for now it is only available as a mobile app for iOS.
