Since the Kernel 3.x I always had problems with my chipset Intel 82945G / GZ, since the typography was distorted to the point that it was impossible to read in some cases.
What happened to me was that some letters appeared incomplete in the terminal and in some applications as you can see in my old blog. This could be solved by unchecking the font smoothing, although the solution was temporary since after a while, the same thing happened.
But I finally found the ultimate solution. I just had to add to the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf the following lines:
Section “Device”
Identifier "Intel"
intel driver
Option "DebugWait" "true"
EndSection
If the file xorg.conf It does not exist we create it. I have to point out that, I only have this in said file because I don't need anything else, if someone already has their xorg.conf created with your specific settings, just add this code without changing the rest, unless the section "Device" is repeated.
Of course, you can't connect the graphics to a Peavey 6505 with an Eminence Black Powder 4 × 12, if it only occurs to you ... hahaha
I solved something similar by installing the infinality package in ArchLinux
Fuck until you finally found the solution ... it was about time 😀
Now upstairs… be a good boy and go back to Arch come on LOL !!!
Nope. I am comfortable with Debian Testing, where I never should have left. ^^
