SinceLinux statistics in its 1st year of life

Do you want to know about FromLinux.net?

Here we want to share some statistics with you… but not just about the blog, but about much more 

In just 1 year of life, we have all written more than 1100 articles (1180), which is an average of 3 or 4 articles per day… but in reality, there are days when we have not published anything, and other days when we publish 8 or 10 articles 

We have almost 30.000 comments... and now that I read this information ... WOW!! O_O … Almost 30.000 comments, really IM-PRE-SIO-NAN-TE !!

Well, I leave you a photo where you can see this ... and I clarify, these data are from July 3 (that is, yesterday hehe):

About the number of visits, honestly I'm not satisfied hahaha… It happens that I'm used to the statistics of Artescritorio.com, where every day there is a minimum of between 12.000 and 15.000 visits… here we haven't even touched those numbers, that's why I'm not satisfied 

The day we have had the most visits was last June 25; We had 9221 visits (this in just 24 hours), it has been great to almost reach 10.000, but… we still have 20.000 a day left hehe.

However, we have grown in an amazing way, I leave you some numbers of our visits in these months:

  1. July 2011 (1st month of life): 9414 visits.
  2. August 2011 (2nd month of life): 5966 visits (here we fell because neither elav nor I could write due to personal problems).
  3. September 2011 (3rd month of life): 16.236 visits (here we enter with everything!)
  4. October 2011 (4th month of life): 41.193 visits
  5. November 2011 (5th month of life): 55.367 visits
  6. December 2011 (6th month of life): 83.048 visits
  7. January 2012 (7th month of life): 102.995 visits (here we already passed 100.000 yeah!)
  8. February 2012 (8th month of life): 120.680 visits
  9. March 2012 (9th month of life): 154.391 visits
  10. April 2012 (10th month of life): 153.551 visits
  11. May 2012 (11th month of life): 178.463 visits
  12. June 2012 (12th month of life): 173.316 visits

Here is the growth graph per month:

As you can see ... we accumulate more than 1 million visits

RankingLinux.com

But not only this ... many know RankingLinux.com (currently offline), a site in which Linux-related sites / blogs are registered, and a ranking or score is made on these ... we (elav and me) we look at this site as a valid measure, and when we start with FromLinux.net … We registered the blog there… and our only goal was to be in the top 10, to our amazement, we improved our position with astonishing speed, and we reached the top positions in not many months.

When we least think about it ... we were already one of the first, however we saw the score of the first 3 and honestly, we thought it was impossible for us to reach them. Once again I had to smile to see how wrong I was.

Time passed yes (3 months or so), but we got to No.2 on RankingLinux.com, then ... my eyes were on that 1st place HAHA.

I remember when I saw that we reached No. 1, I commented on my Twitter account that we had reached that place ... but surely it would be something temporary, and I remember that proper (yes i think it was himself) told me that I was wrong, that it would not be something temporary.

Again I was happy to know that I was wrong hahaha, well ... until the last day that RankingLinux was online, we were ranked No.1

Here is a screenshot to remember:

Twitter

Gain followers in Twitter It is really difficult (at least I see it that way), to reach more than 1000 followers It has not been an easy thing HAHAHA:

We have gained many followers mainly because we are always talking to each other, we do not only use our twitter account to announce new articles, but we always talk to our followers, greet new ones who use us... clarify doubts, appreciate RTs, etc. 

AlexaRank

To describe it simply, Alexa.com it is who says which site is more important than others. This ranking (from Google) will tell us how popular and / or important (or influential) our site is on the internet.

If a website has Alexa (rank in Alexa) the No: 903.567, this means that there are only 903.566 better sites than this in question.

How many million websites are there in the world? … A lot true.

Well, FromLinux.net currently has a range of No: 265.326 …this means that out of all the millions of websites that exist on the net, only 265.325 sites are 'better' than us 

But this is the global ranking, in several countries we have a better ranking:

Facebook

En Facebook We haven't had much acceptance, and I recognize that in large part it has to do with the little life we have there... because almost none of us is very aware of this account 

Yet as you can see, we have more than 400 « » 

Browsers of our readers

Here are some statistics for the browsers we use… all of us who visit the blog 

And here browsers + version:

Countries

But… from which countries do they visit us?

Here are the data 

Operating System of our visitors

We are a blog that deals almost entirely with GNU/Linux, and obviously we keep statistics on the OS that readers have, so we have an idea of the audience that reads us 

At first glance it seems that we have more visitors using Windows, right? … But, nope it's not like that hehe. If we add the% s of the Linux distros, we see that the 57,24% of our visitors use Linux 

And I could go on… but I don’t want to make this any longer haha 

The point is, only 2 or 5 people writing DO NOT make these numbers, they are all of you that those who have taken this site to where it is read to us every day, you are the ones who have made the comments, the ones who have accepted the small contributions that we make ... the ones who have made this project grow (I.e.

This is why I give you a huge:

THANKS!

... because you deserve it, because without you DesdeLinux would be nothing.

Congratulations to all of you, yes… to you, because ALL you ARE FromLinux 

) we look at this site as a valid measure, and when we start with strong

The day we have had the most visits was last June 25; We had 9221 visits (this in just 24 hours), it has been great to almost reach 10.000, but ... we still have 20.000 a day left hehe. : justify; »/ strong / h2p style =» text-align: justify; »
