We just announced the new changes to the blog design, and I am already coming up with new ideas, all with the aim of improving the reader experience.
Currently the design presents this style for comments:
I really like the current style, I think it is very elegant and beautiful, but playing a little with the Inspector of Firefox, I got something like this:
The doubt invades me because looking at it coldly, it seems to me that in the second way it is much easier to read the comments, that is, to determine which is which. Although I do not plan to make any changes to the design, I would like to know what you think about this.
[poll id = »11"]
I stay with the current one, it is much more elegant.
The style, a lifetime, is much clearer and more comfortable to read!

@elav: of course, I used very little -almost nothing- Xfce and I did not know that it was not yet a 'complete' environment so to speak ... it is a «small detail» that you name!
Likewise Firefox and Opera have a local proxy, Chrome / Chromium I don't know ...
@ Lito523: to my sister. I installed Mint 13 on an AMD laptop with a Radeon HD board (not fusion) and the truth is that it works perfectly, in fact when I tried the distro on my laptop that has hybrid VGA, it worked perfectly with the ATi 😛
On the other hand, if you like Nautilus you can install it in Xfce (who uses Thunar !!! ???) without overloading the system since both Nautilus and Xfce are based on GTK 🙂
!! ??
Haha, I should say "the new style" all my life ...
And you also commented on the wrong entry, hahaha.
I prefer the second option, it is much clearer.
the truth is that I like the new proposal better. I think the text stands out more.
Someone explain the difference between user and reader ????
user -> reader registered
reader -> user not registered
X)
Well, as long as registration is not mandatory ...
It isn't, never has been, and never, but never will be 😀
Nope is not mandatory, it never will be 😉
User: It is the person who is registered in the blog.
Reader It is the person who visits the blog and comments, but is not registered.
I like the current one more, although the new one is also beautiful, in the end most of them decide hahaha
Without a doubt, the second one, but with the color scheme that I proposed here (magenta for author and dark blue for editor).
That color is a little pink, right? 🙂
Es exactly the same they had at the beginning.
Then someone other than blue because those two blues look too alike.
The second without a doubt, is very iOS 🙂
Again, it does not publish the comments, I have already sent one and it does not appear, make a jump, it goes to the top of the article but my comment does not appear ¬__¬
Here I go second.
It said before the second, without a doubt, in very iOS 🙂
Ok, I will not break the consensus: The second, because the comment space is clearer and breaks the monotony of pure gray.
The truth is that I never comment, but I always read the comments. I like the current style because the second one seems redundant.
Anyway, it's not life or death either 😉
Greetings 🙂
You're right. I think it would help if the arrow was embedded in the text balloon and the line separating the comments was removed since it is no longer needed.
That would be the idea, but it's more complicated to do right now .. 🙁
Of course, with the arrow aside each comment seems isolated and although it highlights it, it increases little necessary things, that is why I say that it is redundant. Did you think about removing the bottom edge in addition to joining the arrow?
There would be a square for each comment but less isolated and with a touch of class if the interior is white. (That is another, with the inside of the white comment it is a bit superfluous to put a border on all four sides. I don't know if I can explain myself well)
Well, I already did about it, of course it can be better and much 😀
The second option seems better to me, the message is more noticeable and the format with another color is more beautiful.
a hug and keep going so every day they grow more !!
I honestly like the second way better, I think it's more rested for the eyes
The second …. 😀 😀 😀
It seems that the new proposal is going to win.
Yep, overwhelmingly hehe
I voted for the new proposal, although the truth is that I really like both of them. I will just add that I would like to see a bit of color tone, to indicate that responses belong to the same comments, something like what genbeta does if I remember correctly, and highlight the responses of the author and administrators, that many times those are the to be expected when they reply to comments.
thanks and the site is getting hairy !!!
Since Mageia 2 with Chromium (not chrome), but I'm thinking Iron (I would like to propose a new icon for Iron, how do I do it?)
The comments are already highlighted as explained in point 13 of this post. Iron also already has its own icon as you can see in the comment of Carlos-Xfce which is right above yours.
I have voted for the second, although I also like the first,
I am more like Khourt comments in the previous message, I would like to see a bit of color tone, to indicate which answers belong to the same comments, but if it is not possible both seem fine to me.
I also vote for the same. Maybe it would be a bit confusing but with a good design it would be spectacular.
The second is much clearer and easier to read.
The second option goes better with the rest of the theme of the page
The second…. and the page is perfect
The second option is much clearer, I mean the answer to the bottom of the blog topic is defined, I vote for the second option, greetings!
The truth is that I liked it better when I could enter with my twitter account now, no matter how nice they put it, I can't do that anymore.
NOOOOOO, don't summon the JetPack demon again, for heaven's sake. The integration with Twitter will return, just have a little patience.
Uff hahaha, the integration with Twitter will take time, because we still have no idea how to work with their API.
Shhhh !!! ¬¬
Here you have a lot of faith Fuentes ... I know it can help you
http://www.google.com/webfonts/
In fact, we use two sources available on the site, both free or at least with slightly restrictive licenses 😀
The new proposal does not change much to the current one, but between the two, I prefer the new one.
The second design is very good, it is simple and legible, easy to read and distinguish the comments, which could also be put a separating line so that the comments are not so stuck.
The same for the current one, more elegant and minimalist.
I notice them the same: \
I suggest you find a good eye doctor. 😀
I like both styles, but what I don't like is that if the site detects that I use debian, when I write a comment it gives me the icon of a tux (it does not recognize it as debian) I know that there is the option to modify about: config but if one side recognizes it because the other does not Oo ????
https://blog.desdelinux.net/tips-como-cambiar-el-user-agent-de-firefox/
In the sidebar it recognizes that you use Debian because it recognizes that you use Iceweasel, that is, who uses Iceweasel and not Debian? When the site recognizes that you use Iceweasel automatically assumes that you use Debian, which is correct.
Now, in the comments it is different, because the comments are not programmed by us, here is the question 🙁
We will have to modify the plugin again and thus solve this detail, I have already noted it so as not to forget to do it.
Without a doubt, the second option is better! I already left my vote and more than anything I leave the comment to test if Debian detects me as it happens on the main page of the site
Now it seems that he wants the thing with the post of Elav!
Well, for the majority we are left with the second option, which we must improve by integrating the arrow that indicates the parent comment, in the comment itself .. 😀
I think the new proposal is very good. I like the idea of the dialogue "balloon".
I like the new proposal better, with the balloon highlighting the text, it makes it look clearer.
If it really makes the new proposal look a little clearer. But even if they put a black background and the fonts also in black and everything implemented in HTML 1 without CSS, I keep entering the site 😉
Hehehe .. thanks 😀
HAHAHA great pleasure to read this partner 😀
You can see that you liked the site hahaha.
I lean towards the second option. The boxes highlight the comments better.
