Best Linuxero Desktop: May 2013 - Results

    The desktop with wallpaper and windows 7 start menu is the best, but I would change the startup for Ubuntu and the wallpaper for a Linux one

    Thank you very much for hanging mine. But there is an important correction, they put information from another desktop. This is the one that really goes:
    Operating system: Ubuntu 13.04
    Desktop environment: Gnome 3.6
    Icons: Faenza -> http://bit.ly/a8QJ7h
    Shell Theme: Zukiwi -> http://bit.ly/1598C8S
    Conky: Gray Scale, with RAM, WLAN and CPU -> http://bit.ly/18sVn4Q
    Docky: Dashboard + HUD
    Wallpaper: Dulcet -> http://bit.ly/13UfTKz
    Just in case, notice, what I'm referring to is number 4.

    I liked the captures! They are all great well, almost all, what the hell were they thinking with number 6? It's the same desktop with Cairo Dock, not even custom.

    Even many Unity desktops had a better Look ...

    You have to keep trying ...

    I have the latest version of manjaro with gnome-shell

    I don't know how to configure the conky config script ...

    Personally, the one I like the most is 5, for me it is the most spectacular, although the rest are very good too, for the next edition he participated !!!!!!!

    I feel that they did not bother to see all the captures, I saw many and better in G + published among them mine 😛 and it is not courage that it is not left, but mine was better than 6 https://securecdn.disqus.com/uploads/mediaembed/images/510/188/original.jpg

    It is my opinion for me it is the best but I am not going to disguise Linux with windows things is like being a chevrolet incha buying a ford and replacing the ford logo with the chevrolet one. I hope you are not so intransigent and accept my opinion

    We look at them all, seriously. You don't have to take it so personally. Yours is really very good. In general we try to maintain a certain diversity in terms of distros, environments, etc. Sometimes we do it better and sometimes we don't. This time, for example, most of the contributions were unfortunately not very descriptive. It was not like that in previous months. Not to lower your arms and continue participating.
    I send you a hug! Paul.

    Calm down my friend! It is not for you to take it personally, one thing is for one to disagree and another is to judge. You already hit the second one ... In my case it is not and »For using Unity»: p But I will arrive in the next one, just use your ingenuity.

    Well said Revo, finally someone who understands.
    Also, guys, let's be honest. What seems barbaric to me may seem like great shit to you. And vice versa. What seems great to you may seem like crap to me.
    On the other hand, I try to take into account other things, not just subjectivity:

    1) that there is the greatest variety of environments, distros, etc. make it possible
    2) I take into account the votes of other users on social networks
    3) those that describe their configurations in detail go up a lot in my ranking (unfortunately this time there were very few who did it even though it was explicitly requested).

    You do what you can people. Do not complain ... they will stay.
    Hug! Paul.

    I think it is a big mistake to think like this.
    Disguising Linux as Windows is VERY valid. Do not forget that it can be a very useful way to attract people who are not very fond of computers.
    Hug! Paul.

    Every month I upload a screenshot, it gains more than 20 likes and even then you don't consider it, 0 criteria, especially when choosing the one that imitated windows 7

    Well I do not agree. As I said in another comment, it seems very valid to disguise Linux as Windows. First of all because maybe you or I don't like it so much, but many people may like the "look" that Windows has just as others may like the "look" of MacOS. Also, it can be a nifty way to bring Windows users to Linux, especially those who don't know much about computing.
    Cheers! Paul.
