The new Tablet Aquaris M10, finally Ubuntu and its convergence have arrived!

A few years ago Canonical announced the development of its Ubuntu-based tablet platform. It wasn't long after the announcement was made to now we find the launch of their first tablet based Ubuntu Linux,  Aquaris M10 by BQ. And of course, without leaving behind the long-awaited Convergence (convergence, in English) from Ubuntu. Which allows users to "associate" their mobile device with monitors and input devices (mouse and keyboard) to offer a "desktop" experience from your mobile phone or tablet. Just connect a Bluetooth adapter, either for keyboard or mouse, so that the device automatically connects with them to work. It can also be used to provide a larger scale of the image, connecting in the same way to a larger screen. Ubuntu almost immediately recognizes input devices. experience is completely desktop, and it is also possible to download desktop applications on it. It also has several pre-installed apps, in addition to having Desktop or Tablet mode.

There is also the convergence version for Ubuntu touch phones: Meizu MX4,  BQ Aquaris E5 and BQ Aquaris E4.5. All of these trained to work with a desktop interface, which allows managing the applications, both messaging and telephony of these mobiles.

Ubuntu also incorporates the convergence at the application development level. In addition to changing the interface automatically, when the input devices or screens are linked. Applications are under development that can be automatically converted into desktop, phone or tablet format applications.

There is talk then that the convergence of Ubuntu works as a single platform, which is developed under an absolutely tactile, mobile-based interface, which in turn offers a desktop experience on the same device. Adding to this, the various tools that Ubuntu offers for applications, which can be run without restrictions in any edition of the distro.

It is said that soon the  "Xenial Xerus" upcoming Ubuntu 16.04 LTS it will be the launch of the real convergence. The one that will have the Ubuntu Touch Scopes interface. But that does not diminish the importance of the Aquaris M10, which will be available in mid-March and which becomes some of the best news of this year, contributed by Ubuntu.

So there is competition for the famous Microsoft Continuum and nothing less than an Open Source alternative, Ubuntu Convergence!

PS: We see Apple behind in these innovations!
