Well after installing Debian On my laptop, it followed the configuration, but it was the turn of the wifi, which even from the factory did not work well in Windows 7, and that only with the tuquito metapackage it worked in Ubuntu.
I started with the wiki debian in english without it working. I continued with this one that takes an extra step, but nothing. This and it still didn't work. I was about to give up when, but after searching the internet I found the module I needed.
So I took on the task of searching with Google for how to install the module in Linux. Let's do it:
First we delete the ath9k module
# modprobe -r ath9k
We download the driver from the address mentioned above, choosing it according to our kernel
We create the firmware folder (if it does not exist) and we move the driver there (carl9170-1.fw)
# mkdir / usr / local / lib / firmware
Finally we make Modprobe to the new module
# modprobecarl9170
We reboot and ready

Out of curiosity ... what model of laptop is it?
It is an HP pavilion g4-1174la Notebiik PC.
Not even the webcam works with windows, from the factory, I had to send it to an HP laboratory, but since I had a lot of work then, I didn't send it.
Now it goes without saying, I have a lot, a lot without using windows and then I don't need it.
Notebook I wanted to put, finger error and lack of revision, heh
A word of advice Alf, you have to pay a little more attention to the spelling (herror, it works).
Those vices, herror, hahahahahaha
