Tip: xdg-menu does not work in Openbox

If every time you try to access the pipe menu (the menu that is automatically created with all the programs installed in open box) jumps a dialog box indicating a error and does not let you access it, keep reading because we already have the solution.

To fix this, simply add the xdgmenu package. In Arch, it would be like this:

sudo packer -S openbox-xdgmenu

It will ask you if you want to install it, say yes. Then if you want to edit two installation files. In both cases, check the option no and the package will begin to install. When done, the xdg-menu will work as before.

If for some reason you get a dependency error, it's just a matter of installing them before openbox-xdgmenu. In my case, I was missing the gnome-menus2 package. I installed it through yaourt and voila:

yaourt -S gnome-menus2
