Macos theme for Ubuntu

Many prefer to use their favorite Linux distribution without any themes, that is, using the default style already implemented by their chosen desktop environment. However, other users need or like to customize the environment they work with daily to feel more comfortable or simply for aesthetic reasons. Some of these changes include installing different window managers, docks, and so on. Well, in this article, we're going to describe the best themes for Ubuntu…

While it's somewhat misleading to say there are "best" themes , since taste is highly personal and not everyone likes the same things, if you're already a theme enthusiast, you probably prefer others or already have many you like. However, for those who aren't yet familiar with so many themes or are new to GNU/Linux, we're going to analyze 10 themes that we've compiled in our own selection from DesdeLinux:

  1. Sing Theme: is a Material Design style theme with a minimalist design, bold and bright colors. It is not complex at all, but it is quite attractive if you are looking for something simple.
  2. Matcha Theme: It is based on Arc with transparencies and a very flat view of what the desktop is. Great GTK with dark colors if you don't like the color or brightness of the previous theme ...
  3. Vimix Theme: is another elegant simple and elegant Material Design theme with some very spoiled icons in terms of design that you are going to love. In addition, it comes with three variants to select the one you like the most: gray, doder and ruby.
  4. macOS High Sierra Theme: If you like Apple designs, then you will love this theme, as it imitates the design of macOS Hight Sierra, one of the latest versions of the famous apple operating system. The icons and graphical shell will mimic Apple's graphical environment quite well.
  5. Windows 10 Light ThemeOn the other hand, if you want a more Microsoft Windows 10 look, you can get it with this other theme. The truth is that once installed, the environment looks a lot like what Win 10 users have, including the icons and the menu.
  6. Axion Theme- Another ARc-Dark based theme, an original dark GTK for users looking for something reliable and not so bright and colorful.
  7. Copernicus Theme: a theme based on flat design and that you can edit and modify its SCSS files to customize it as much as possible according to your tastes.
  8. Petitlepton Theme: inspired by Material Design and Adwaita, therefore, as you can imagine it has a clean and minimalist look.
  9. darqlassic: If yours are dark themes, here is another alternative to the ones I mentioned above. A theme that basically tweaks the default look of GNOME base.
  10. Flat Remix Theme: a modern and elegant theme, but at the same time simple. Inspired by Material Design designs, that is, those that govern the Android interface. With it you can choose between various light and dark styles.

To get these themes, you can download them from their respective websites. Once downloaded, extract the ZIP file to ~/.themes/ and finally you can use tools like Unity Tweak Tool to select the new theme…
