Continuing this month of August 2024 with our current series of publications called “Top of new GNU/Linux Distros”, today we offer you this eleventh publication of the same, where we will address more innovative and interesting alternatives for free and open operating systems based on Linux and BSD. And this time, the 4 selected are: ATZ Linux, FunOS, UBLinux and Deblinux. In order to complete the known ones during the month of June 2024, within the waiting list of the well-known DistroWatch website.
Remember that these and other GNU/Linux and *BSD Distros They await their fair recognition within said website, to then be disseminated as modern, complete and stable projects. - brief description: It is an operating system that offers a GNU/Linux distribution designed to provide an optimized, efficient and highly customizable computing experience with a solid foundation provided by the latest stable version of Ubuntu LTS.
UBLinux

- Primary use: According to its developers, its editions make it ideal for all types of work environments (home, offices, schools and government entities). In addition, it is a modular, light and modern operating system that seeks accelerate the deployment and simplify the administration and support of the Arch Linux operating system, that is, minimize the time of preparation of the environment, its use and maintenance.
- Actual state: It is already a mature operating system, with very good support and extensive support from the development team of the software company that creates and maintains it.
- brief description: It is an operating system that offers a unified distribution for servers, workstations and thin clients with integrated information security software. While the DB (Desktop Basic) edition is for the home and is distributed free of charge, the UBLinux Adara edition is focused on the corporate segment and large companies under the payment-per-subscription scheme for support. - Actual state: It is already a mature operating system that offers a stable distribution based on Debian GNU/Linux, focused on simplicity and immediate usability.
- brief description: It is an operating system cBuilt from packages from the current stable Debian release (12/Bookworm), but with the addition of support for the latest hardware thanks to the use of Debian Backports repositories and a wide range of pre-installed proprietary firmware. Also, it includes excellent codec support pre-installed proprietary multimedia, and the use of ready-to-use non-free Debian package repositories.
