Typecatcher: install fonts from Google Web Fonts easily

Google Web Fonts is a powerful online directory, containing numerous typefaces, intended for regular users as well as artists and developers. Thanks to Typecatcher we can access it and install uninstall nuevos typefaces very easily.

Using it is as simple as selecting a font and clicking the download button. This will be downloaded and installed on the computer, which will allow the user to select the font in the different applications.

Uninstalling a font is as simple as clicking the Uninstall Font button, which uninstalls and removes it from the computer.

By clicking on a font, it shows the font with predefined phrases and with a default size, the latter aspect can be easily changed via the size box (available on the toolbar).

Installation

On Ubuntu and derivatives:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa: andrewsomething / typecatcher
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install typecatcher
Note: fonts are downloaded in ~ / .fonts / typecatcher

A cool app! By the way, it is also available to install on Arch Linux from the AUR repository.

Excellent application, will have to be tried.

Now, it would be wonderful if it allowed to add other font directories, like Open Font Library or Dafont for example.
