Ubuntu Budgie 19.04 released with new theme

Ubuntu Budgie

As part of the Ubuntu 19.04 Disco Dingo release, Ubuntu Budgie 19.04 comes to us today, adding new features, a new design and many other improvements.

Coming with Budgie 10.5 desktop environment by default with the latest Budgie applets, Ubuntu Budgie 19.04 replace Nautilus file manager with Nemo from the Cinnamon desktop environment, but it retains the icon capabilities and integrates with the Catfish search tool.

Ubuntu Budgie 19.04 also brings a new desktop theme called QogirBudgie, which is accompanied by the Arc GTK and Pocillo themes, powered by the latest GTK + 3.24 tool and using Mutter 3.32 and the GNOME 3.32 composer.

"Based on the experiences, feedback and suggestions of [Ubuntu Budgie] 18.04 & 18.10 that we receive from our users, this release comes with many new features, fixes and optimizations. This release is a big step for our 20.04 LTS”Mentions David Mohammed, project leader.

Powered by Linux Kernel 5.0

Under the hood, Ubuntu Budgie 19.04 comes with the same kernel included in Ubuntu 19.04 Disco Dingo, Linux Kernel 5.0, GCC 8.3 and Python 3.7.2, plus performance improvements and fixes.
