Ubuntu Bug # 1

Do you know what the Bug # 1 that it got Ubuntu? I am sure that many do not even imagine it, nor will they know that it was reported by the Mark Shuttleworth.

I found this interesting fact in the humanOS blog and I want to share it with you. Well, the Ubuntu bug # 1 has by name: Microsoft has a majority market sharewhich in Spanish would be: Microsoft has a majority market share, manifesting as a bug the fact that the desktop PC market is controlled by proprietary software. 😀

If they access the bug description They will be able to see that 1099 people or entities have stated that this bug affects them, including groups in Launchpad on the table: Linux Mint, OpenOffice, Linux, Arch Linux and a long etc.

Description of the bug Ubuntu # 1:

Translated into Spanish:

Microsoft has a majority share of the current desktop PC market.
This is a bug, which Ubuntu is designed to correct.

Non-free software is holding back innovation in the Information Technology industry (IT), restricting access to IT for a small portion of the world's population and limiting the ability of software developers to reach their full potential, globally. This error is very evident in the PC industry.

;-) This part that comes now reminds me of the Change Requests that are generated in our projects

Steps to repeat:
1. Visit a local PC store.

What happens:
2. Note that most computers for sale have non-free software pre-installed.
3. Observe very few PCs with Ubuntu and free software pre-installed.

What should happen:
1. Most PCs for sale should only include free software like Ubuntu.
2. Ubuntu should be marketed in such a way that its incredible features and benefits would be obvious and known to all.
3. The system should become more user-friendly over time.

Do you think this report will one day close? LOL. I do not think so.

Well, I prefer that things remain as they are than that all computers have Ubuntu pre-installed.

The best that they are empty

WARNING: I am on the street, therefore, the computer I am using is public and uses Güindous Siete.

I believe that computers should be sold without pre-installed software. Fortunately, in the country that I currently reside, there is a store that sells such computers. When I've saved enough, I'll buy one of those and name it LMDE. In the store, they notice that and, apart, they specify that they also sell Güindous Siete, in all its ugly versions, and other software, so that each client can buy it and install it later.
