Ubuntu in Colombia

Although I am not from this country (Colombia), I am happy to read news like this 🙂

I will leave the quotation, that is ... without changes or modifications:

Greetings colleagues!
It is a pleasure for me as the leader and founder of this project to show the community and a good part of our finished work. The wikis system that is managed in the community has been totally updated in a way that is easier to use and more visually attractive.
We can visit our wiki[1] and see the new changes!… In recent days we have experienced several problems, especially with browsers like chromiun, but they have already been solved thanks to the timely work of the Documentation team[2] y [3].
If you have any problem with or any suggestion you can report it on the project site on Launchpad[4].
If you want to be part of the Documentation project, I recommend reading[2] and request entry on the page[3]
Finally I want to congratulate José Gutierrez and Cesar Gomez members of the project who have really worked hard for this result!… Of which we have already received very good reviews from members of other Ubuntu communities around the world.

We are in touch.

Now ^ - ^. Every day in Latin America the movement for Free Software, OpenSource or GNU / Linux (as they prefer to call it) grows stronger and stronger, either physically (with conferences, etc.) or on the net.

In good time for us 😀

In Cuba I only know two more that use it, and I have heard of very few others, it is that access to Arch repos is quite ENOUGH difficult, Ubuntu and Debian repos are obtained much more easily 🙁

You don't want to understand, believe me. The point is that we do not have full access to all internet sites, so our ISP opens the ones we request, but only when they are agreed. In short, a long story.

It is very simple to understand technically. We can only access a list of sites (say, 100 or 200 sites) that our ISP has "open" (open = allows us to access them), if for example http://www.sitiomio.com it is not in that list of sites, we will not be able to enter and the error will be a very popular "ACCESS DENIED".

See, it's technically simple to understand 😀
