The Shimmer Project has under its creation 3 beautiful themes specially designed for Xubuntu 9.10 / 10.04 (Albatross), Xubuntu 10.10 (Bluebird) y Xubuntu 11.04 (greybird).
The latter can be installed from the Archlinux AUR with yogurt:
yaourt -S xfce-theme-greybird
It can also be installed from your PPA or like the other two themes, they can be downloaded from Github.
<° - greybird @github
<° - Bluebird @github
<° - Albatross @github
The three songs come with their version for gtk, metacity y xfwm. Simply beautiful..
They give me ideas by combining them with other wallpapers and other customizations.
mmm How do I install them in Fedora 16?
How do you install something from Github?
Hi Eduardo, I don't know the fedora commands, but the git package is installed with that you can access the projects hosted on github. Just go to the project page and copy its link and then in the ~ / .themes folder in a terminal you put:
git clone link
Obviously replacing link with the web address of the project. When you want to update it, you place it inside the folder that was created and you put "git pull" and that's it.
Thank you antolieztsu 🙂
What an abbreviated class on the use of git that you gave me.
You're welcome Eduardo, I learned it not long ago I too hahaha
