The South Africa branch of Vodafone has announced the launch of Vodafone Web Book in South Africa, a netbook (ARM) you use Ubuntu as an OS whose main objective is to be simple, easy for everyone and that serves mainly for browsing the network of networks.
This netbook weighs only 1Kg, with a monitor of only 10 inches (LCD), 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage, I think it is not a high-performance equipment far from it, on the contrary, it is a fairly simple computer for simple purposes , but ... this obviously makes its cost quite low, thus being accessible to poor sectors. The price is really not bad, about 119 euros of full payment, or if you make a contract for 24 months you would only pay 15 euros.
It has a warranty period of 2 years, I don't know about you but it seems great to me 😀
This and more information can be found on the Canonical website, or at ItNewsAfrica.
Undoubtedly, not a bad offer, obviously there are already some thinking that buying it and changing Ubuntu for another distro would have greater benefits, it may be, but hey, this business is equal to or worse than politics, you can never please everyone HAHA.
