Interesting. I like it. Compared to "RecordMyDesktop" (RMD), Advantages: it is lighter for the system than RMD, and can record directly in matroska (mkv), which takes up much less space, or "avi", which is more generic than "ogv" by RMD. Disadvantages: it does not manipulate multiple desktops and it does not allow to select the frames per second as RMD, so if one wants to accelerate the speed of the final video, one must do "post production" work.

hi, i have installed it in ubuntu 14.04 along with ffmpeg but when i record there is background noise, i use a Logitech G430 USB microphone what do you recommend?

    1.    let's use linux said

In my experience, this is because the microphone is not of good quality or because there is really too much noise in your room.

The only alternative is to make the recording and then remove the noise using an audio editing program. I recommend you try Audacity. It is great for these tasks.

      Cheers! Paul.

    Hello

    I really liked this tool
Well it captures all my audio channels
    but I have a problem,
And the thing is that when I'm recording and I put music in the background, it sounds a bit lena, as if it had slowed the track

i use debian wheezy 7.8 64 bit with gnome shell

Do you have any idea what may be causing the music to play somewhat slow?

Thank you, the post is somewhat old, but it was very useful, especially since I was already about to download the application from your website and because it is in the Debian Jessie repositories, I installed it and it was good, the only thing is that I cannot record directly in mp4, only in mkv and avi, but hey, thanks and regards
