WinesapOS: A GNU/Linux Distro for SteamOS-style games

A few hours ago, we shared another great and timely publication about a fun game about Linux called TR1X, which was nothing more than a open source implementation of the classic game Tomb Raider I (1996). Which, in addition to being created by reverse engineering the TombATI / GLRage variant of the original game and by replacing the proprietary audio and video libraries with open source variants, had the advantages of including new features, improvements and fixes added.

Which proves, once again, the current and future potential of Linux in the field of video games, both for those that are retro (from many years ago) and with few demands on HW/SW resources and for those that are modern and with high HW/SW requirements. Above all, because unlike Windows and macOS, with GNU/Linux it becomes more viable to create a fully configured and optimized operating system from almost scratch for this objective. Which has been reflected in the many GN/Linux Gamer Distros that exist today, such as SteamOS, Batocera and Quimera OS, among many others. And precisely for this reason, today we will address one more call «WinesapOS», which focuses on being a SteamOS-style GNU/Linux Gaming Distro.
