XCOM: Enemy Unknown available for Linux with Steam (+ discount)

We have talked enough about games here in DesdeLinux, also from SteamThis time we will talk about an interesting game that is looming on our Linux horizon: XCOM: Enemy Unknown

We will never have enough (at least I) of strategy games. Many years ago (when I was using Windows) I played the old Age of Empires or Cossacks: European Wars (although I admit I also enjoyed FIFA and some other GTA San Andreas games). In Linux we have 0AD, excellent strategy game, as well as megaglest (although a little more rustic), this summer another will be added to the list ... XCOM: Enemy Unknown

XCOM: Enemy Unknown

It will be a port of this game for Linux that would arrive approximately this summer, it coincides with the dates of the summer sales that Steam will make to its games (up to 75% discount).

This (as I left before) is a strategy game. The original title dates from 1994, however the graphics are obviously current. Incidentally, there is also a version for Android I think.

It is a game from the creators of the saga Sid Meier's CivilizationTurn-based strategy and action. Compared to previous 'versions' or games of the XCOM series, Enemy Unknown substantially improves the graphics, in addition, details such as being able to modify the soldiers and give them different nationalities, etc.

By the way, I know that many of us in Windows games use tricks, you know ... in strategy games tricks to increase our resources, in others like GTA we look San Andreas cheats to heal us or better weapons. For XCOM: Enemy Unknown seem to have tricks, for those who like these 'aids' to make the game less difficult, just search on Google 😉

Anyway, another game that we will have available for our Linux through Steam. Maybe one day when you don't suffer from geographic fatalism and can buy games on Steam, buy in addition to Dont Starve this other one.

regards

Ah, what memories when I was playing Terror from the Deep on PSX. Sure, this version has to be awesome, but who has time to play now? : '(
