Xmoto: An Addictive Game for GNU / Linux

Although I am not one of those who spend the day playing, there are times when I spend a few minutes to clear (and even hours) to certain games that we can install on GNU / Linux.

One of them is XMoto, a very simple game that consists of controlling a guy -of rubber I would say- on a MotoCross in levels that go from the very easy to the impossible. The game has several configuration options and the Records that we achieve can be published on the internet. The objective is to reach the goal by collecting a series of objects that we find along the way in the shortest possible time. I mean, nothing to write home about, but believe me: Engancha !!!

In the image that starts this post I was trying to reach the bur by turning backwards to use the rear rubber 😀

      I have Regnum Online installed 😀 an Argentine MMORPG that the best it has is the kingdom vs kingdom fight. the only game i have now. Xmoto over time becomes somewhat tedious.

    I have never been very nailed to video games (I would almost close my list with "Prince" from ms-dos, "Mario" 1 and 3, "Zelda ocarina of time" from Snes, "Crash", "Alice-McGee- "," Angrybirds "," Secret Maryo Chronicles "," Hedgewars "and maybe some that I have missed), however, Xmoto was close to joining that list. I remember that I achieved the record in one of the scenarios that only lasted 3 days, hehe. But most of the ones I tried to go through, I couldn't make it. In addition, there are so many scenarios (and more are added every time) that there is no way to even try to go through them, heh.

    I already wanted to reinstall it 🙂

    regards

      Hahahaha .. There are some scenarios where you have to apply logic, but in others not even applying it you manage to pass them .. How will they do it?

        Yes, there are several scenarios that are strategic, but the "quasi-impossible" ones are:

        a) those in which “taur” fingers and a piano keyboard (ja) are needed to keep the bike, without any variation, at 27.0013º (ja) on the ground for many, many, many seconds;

        b) those who seem to first record a chaotic and arbitrary movement of the motorcycle (and for the same reason, unrepeatable), and then they put the limits and obstacles of the stage, ha.

        Greetings.
