Zorin OS 15.2 arrives with Linux Kernel 5.3

Zorin Group has released a new version of Zorin OS, updating its system to Linux Kernel 5.3 with the latest software for Linux.

Zorin OS 15.2 brings with it a faster, safer and better performance experience, and thanks to the kernel update, it is also a more secure and compatible version.

Among the new features, we find support for new hardware, including the XNUMXth Gen Intel processors, AMD Navi graphics cardssuch as the Radeon RX 5700 and the latest MacBook keyboards or touchpads.

As we mentioned before, Zorin OS 15.2 comes with the latest versions of its applications pre-installed and two of them are LibreOffice and GIMP.

LibreOffice considers itself the strongest alternative to Microsoft Office and having the latest version installed is vital, especially when Zorin OS seems to be very successful among users who want to switch from Windows to Linux.

Zorin mentions that, in the last nine months of availability, 900,000 were counted, and a large percentage is shared by Windows and macOS users who want to switch.

"2 out of 3 downloads come from Windows and macOS users, reflecting our mission to bring more people to Linux. None of this was possible without the help of our community, who has helped share the system and grow the project,”Mentions the company.

Recently, Microsoft has ended the lifecycle of Windows 7 and it no longer receives updates, so surely many users will be looking to switch to Linux.
