Zorin OS 15 officially arrives based on Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS

The distribution Zorin OS 15 has been officially released After being in development for several months, it is based on Ubuntu 18.10 LTS.

Derived from Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS Bionic Beaver software repositories with HWE kernel and Ubuntu 18.10 Cosmic Cuttlefish graphics suite, Zorin OS 15 is available celebrating almost 10 years since the first version hit the streets.

Here's what's new in Zorin OS 15

The most exciting new features in Zorin OS 15 include Zorin Connect, a new application that allows Android users to synchronize notifications from their devices with their personal computers, browse through photos from the tablet or phone, share files and links, reply to text messages, control multimedia playback on their computers or use the mobile as a remote control.

A new design comes with Zorin OS 15 with a new theme that adapts through the day, changing from light to dark mode, while offering users six color variants. Also, new animations have been added for a complete experience.

Zorin OS 15 also adds support for touch screens, night light to protect your eyes at night, the latest LibreOffice 6.2 suite, support for Flatpak and Flathub repository, a Do Not Disturb mode, a settings page to make the system configuration be a good experience.

Among other notable changes, we can mention that proprietary Nvidia graphics have been included in the test image, support for color emojis, Firefox is now the default browser, a new font, support for Thunderbolt 3 devices, and experimental support for Wayland. .

Zorin OS 15 is available for download as Core and Ultimate editions for 64-bit computers. The Lite and Education edition will be released in the coming months with support for 32-bit and 64-bit computers. Zorin OS 12 users can upgrade without having to reinstall.

    I love Zorin os. It is ideal for newcomers to Windows for its ease and similarity of use. It is my official distro in my work and home. My family, who had never heard of Gnu Linux, use it without any problem.
    In my case I have the Ultimate version, as a way to support developers, and for the support service.
    I recommend it anyway.
