Extensions for Gimp and Inkscape allow integration with deviantArt.

With great joy, I just discovered that there are already plugins available to publish our GIMP and Inkscape designs direct to our deviantArt stash.

This is really GROSS news since GIMP and Inkscape are the first programs to incorporate this functionality, even before any other proprietary program. Apparently the API that makes magic possible was launched just a few weeks ago and, how could it be otherwise, thanks to it we can now upload our creations to deviantArt directly from our favorite editing programs or even from a terminal . 🙂

Installation

sudo add-apt-repository ppa: doctormo / deviantart-plugins sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gimp-plugin-dastash inkscape-extension-dastash

How to use

In Gimp, I open an XCF file and select the menu Image> Publish to> deviantArt Stash. In case of opening an SVG file, select the menu Extensions> Publish to> deviantArt Stash.

A window will open asking you to enter your account information in deviantArt. Once the data is entered, it will be authenticated and your image will be sent to your deviantArt chest.
