The KDE Project announced today the availability of the beta version of the next update KDE Plasma 5.15 for supported distributions.
After three months of development, KDE Plasma 5.15 gets a beta version allowing users to have a taste of the many improvements and new features implemented by the great work of all the developers working on this open source software.

What's new in KDE Plasma 5.15?
Although there is no major news in KDE Plasma 5.15, the release includes many small changes that together make a big difference when installed. New features include support for viewing the battery status of Bluetooth-connected devices in the power widget, the virtual desktop settings page has been redesigned adding support for Wayland and native integration for Firefox.
The Plasma Discover package manager received a lot of attention in this update, adding better support for Flatpak and Snap packaging formats, improved handling of local packages, ability to update a Linux distribution from the update notifier, easier installation of available updates update page and a new fonts page that replaces the previous settings page.
Among other changes worth mentioning, KDE Plasma 5.15 brings a new transparent theme with clear text for the notes widget, many performance improvements for KRunner, the ability to download and install wallpaper plugins directly from the background settings screen and an improved Breeze icon theme.
