Ya was made available to the entire new version of this popular image editing tool. Through a statement the team in charge of the development of Krita announced the availability of the new Krita 4.1.0 version.
For those who are unfamiliar with this tool, I can tell you that Krita is a popular image editor designed as a digital drawing and illustration suite.l, Krita is free software distributed under the GNU GPL license, it is based on the KDE platform libraries and included in the Calligra Suite.
The application interface is quite intuitive and in addition to that for those who know Photoshop this will be quite familiar.

What's new in Krita 4.1.0
In this new installment of Krita reference images have returned, it does this in the form of a new tool that replaces the old reference images docker.
Now it becomes part of Krita's tools. This can be found on the marker icon in the same group as the wizard and ruler tools. With this tool, you can

- Move one or more images around or off the canvas
- Scale and rotate each image
- Control the opacity and saturation of each image.

Krita tools improvements
Another tool that benefited from this new update was the timeline, this tool has been improved to better communicate how long a single frame is running, and when a frame is empty or not.
Another great improvement you can find in Krita 4.1.0 is better performance in animations.
This is achieved thanks to the fact that in Krita configurations we can improve animation cache performance using the "region of interest".
By enabling this option, Krita will only calculate the areas that have changed within the viewed area rather than the entire canvas. You will need both "Use region of interest" and "Limit cached frame size" enabled in performance settings for it to take effect.
Between the other changes that we can find in this version are:
- You can now save and load sessions: the set of images and views in the images you were working on
- Can create multi-monitor workspace layouts
- An improved workflow for working with animation frames
- Krita can now handle larger animations by buffering rendered frames to disk
- The color picker now has a blend option
- Improved vanishing point wizard - wizards can be painted with custom colors
- Krita's scripting module can now be built with Python 2
- Also included is the first part of Ivan Yossi's Google Summer of Code to improve the performance of brush masks through vectorization!
