I was bored at home on the weekend and started playing with Mozilla Firefox (the same as Chromium, which will soon have another article similar to this one), and trying to find hidden options it occurred to me to put in the address bar about: and I got this:
What you are seeing is nothing more than a series of links that take us to the options of Mozilla FirefoxSome of them even show something different than how we are used to. For example:
about: preferences
They are the same preferences of Firefox, but in a tab. In previous versions of this browser you could already set this option by default, although to be fair, I still prefer the method of a lifetime.
about: permissions
This is something that I found very interesting. It allows us to set certain permissions for all sites, or individually.
For example, we can establish that when entering DesdeLinux, Firefox automatically go into Full Screen mode, or not use Plugins, or tell us its location if requested. It's honestly cool.
I only mention these three examples, but it remains for you to know what the rest shows us. Some of them I already knew, some I didn't.
great about: permissions, thanks for the contribution
Excellent article, very interesting.
Good post, but I've known for a long time (and that's how I discovered that Iceweasel 21 no longer had its Easter egg).
How good, finally something new in Firefox for me ..
