Alternatives to get music in direct download

There are those who prefer torrents or p2p networks, others are addicted to Direct download, and others find online streaming more comfortable. This time we will see some alternatives to obtain music in direct download using some programs specifically designed for this task.

Gsharkdown

Today there are more ways to stream music for free, but Grooveshark is by far the most popular medium.

Although the easiest and simplest way of use is through your website, we can also employ clients to facilitate our work. In Linux we have GSharkdown that allows, among other things, to search for songs, artists or albums and create your own playlist to listen to or download.

gSharkDown is very simple, requires little configuration and shows information about the selected song with a thumbnail of the album cover to which it belongs.

En Ubuntu and derivatives:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa: ferramroberto / gsharkdown sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gsharkdown

En Debian and derivatives:

sudo echo "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ferramroberto/gsharkdown/ubuntu lucid main" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-key 0xb725097b3acc3965 sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gsharkdown

En Arch and derivatives

yaourt -S gsharkdown

Other distros:

They can download source code and compile it.

Those who like Grooveshark, remember that it is also possible download songs using Jdownloader.

Music Download Center

Music download center is a program dedicated to downloading music but it obtains the music directly from services such as dilandilau, 4shared, soundcloud, among others, thus achieving excellent download speeds.

Music download center is available in several languages, including Spanish, which you must configure since it comes in English when you install it.

This program is in beta phase so it may present some errors, however it does its job well.

Download mdc .deb

I use groovedown, it is very good and lets you search or choose lists. Also if you like the POPULAR list you can also choose it!

for those who do not like to open the browser full of many tabs just to listen to music, I am using this application that allows grooveshark and many others: nuvola player (http://nuvolaplayer.fenryxo.cz/home.html)
nuvola does not use APIs, it is a browser, but it allows you to use, for example, the multimedia keys in all the services it supports

Good topic, here I leave you info about another practically unknown program, it's called Aironux, for more details:

    http://lmde-frannoe.blogspot.mx/2012/07/aironux-vailar.html#more

I have it and it works quite well for a beta. On the other hand, in my case, I solved the Gsharkdown problem by directly installing the * .deb package in an x64 LMDE, as for the MDC I did not know it, it will have to be tested.

Uh! I tried it a couple of weeks ago and it worked great ... what a downer! 🙁
Notify when it is reactivated. Likewise, there is always Music Download Center or Taringa, or torrents, etc.

The truth is that I had a setback when looking for a replacement for songr in linux.

The gsharkdown, although apparently it installs well does not suit me. I tried it on Debian 7 following the instructions on this website:
    https://guanatux.wordpress.com/2013/05/12/instalar-gsharkdown-en-debian-wheezy/

And nothing at all. Although the installation does not give problems when executing it, it does not run (at least from the graphical environment).

If I install grooveoff, where previously you have to install several extra packages related to phonon and libqt4 (in the console it appears when you install grooveoff bareback for the first time) you have to uninstall it because the package is broken, you have to install the additional packages that it indicates the console and after installing it I did manage to run it but with 2 errors:

1.- Error connection in the grooveoff itself.

2.- When you restart the computer or do a dmesg -x -l err, you notice that this error appears:
uvcvideo: Failed to set UVC probe control: -71 (exp. 26)

Which apparently as I could see on this website:
    http://aptosid.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&p=14599

It is because phonon interferes with vlc and causes that error to occur.

And to top it all I have tried to find the Music Download Center program for Debian and apparently that program no longer exists for Linux. He is not seen on the web, at least as far as I have searched. All the links that led to sourceforge.net no longer exist.

Any suggestions to find a working Debian songr?
Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas.
