AndEX 10: now you can run Android 10 on your x86 PC

AndEX is an interesting project. Created by Arne Exton, what is intended is to create an operating system using Android as a base, but for PCs, that is, using Android-x86 and not those based on ARM. In this way, you can have this "distro" with which to use the full potential of Android as if it were any other GNU / Linux distribution. Without having to use emulators, or cross compilation, etc. Arne gives you everything done ...

After nine months of development after the launch of AndEX Pie, it has now been launched AndEX 10, which as you can imagine is based on Android 10. This fork has managed to improve some of the things from the original Android-x86 project for this latest version 10 from Google. It is compatible with a large number of computers, such as the Acer Aspire, HP, Samsung, Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo Thinkpad, Fujitsu, Panasonic, and ASUS.

If you have a desktop PC or any other brand other than those or some mounted equipment that does not correspond to any manufacturer, then it is possible to run AndEX 10 as well. The only problem is that in some cases it may not work completely well, or that it may not start in more extreme cases. In case this happens, you can always test it from a virtual machine with VirtualBox or VMWare ...

If you want to get AndEX 10, you have to pay € 9, a cost not too high to access the download link. It is a way of obtaining financing for the project, as others do. If you don't want to pay, you can use other alternative projects, or an already installed Android 10 virtual machine like the ones you can find on osboxes.org.

Finally, enter the news highlights of AndEX 10, you have:

  • Base Android 10 (x86).
  • Improved hardware support.
  • New pre-installed apps: Aptoide, Spotify, F-Droid, Angry Birds, YouTube, etc.
  • GAPPS installed to be able to use Google apps and services, for example, install Google Play.
  • Performance and sound improvements.

or go another android based OS X86 for PC!

versus prime OS and phoenix OS have the advantage that it is based on android 10 and not 7.1 like these.

since I don't have to pay, I think I'll keep these last 2 (although phoenix OS shows advertising), but it's interesting to know more alternatives, maybe at some point I'll give it a chance.
